Boarding Your Pet

The Center for Avian and Exotic Medicine is proud to offer boarding to patients of ours! We are fully equipped with spacious cages/enclosures, a wide variety of perches and cage furniture, fresh food (fruits/vegetables/insects/prey items), and many varieties of seeds and pellets for all species. We also have refrigeration, microwaves, and blenders to use as needed. However, we do not carry every brand of exotic pet food that exists, nor do we have the ability to cook for pets while boarding, so we encourage you to bring specialty items as needed. Please give us a call or email if you have questions about our supplies.

Pick-Up/Drop-Off Times:  Please be advised that boarding pets should be dropped off at the Center after 9am and pick-up must be prior to 6pm.

Boarding Requirements:   In order to keep boarding as safe for patients as possible, all pets housed at our hospital must be current on health examinations (been examined and deemed "healthy" within 1 year of boarding), and they must test negative for specific infectious diseases (see below).  Our goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, temporary home for your pet when you need us, but it is important that everyone is aware of all potential risks anytime an exotic animal is taken out of their normal environment and housed in a new/strange place with different noises, visual stimuli, and environment. Below are two forms required for boarding here.
